Born in Argentina, living in Buenos Aires, he started his career
making music when he was fourteen, with a Casio keyboard, making
harmonic textures of synthetic experimentation. He decided to take
the way of musical production, influenced by 80's
djs/producers.
In 1998 he began to intrude himself in the experimentation of
rhythms programmed by means of a computer, with his peculiar style
of "acid" and "techno acid" influenced by the dictatorship of the
synthesizer TB-303, and the classic drums TR-808/909.
In 2000, with the arrival of the revolution for complex software,
he entered with minimalists and experimental styles, from ambient
until atmospheres noise; it was the artist's conceptual and
philosophical purification process as for the conception of sound
sequence.
Nowadays, he enters a place inside the "under" sound of the deep
house/tech-deep and also, projecting this way a processed Minimal
sound.
Luis Ruiz is the progenitor of four structural electronic
compositions, made with a minimalist selection of harmonies and
processed resonances in a delicate way, under the concept of
smoothly worked textures.
Luis Ruiz' purpose is to manifest his programmed rhythms in a
habitat where sounds characteristic of the tech-deep are miexd with
some synthesized groove of house (as for the addictive patterns of
bassline), traveling environmental outlines and forming this way a
deep uniform atmosphere.
Manipulating tactical of improvised compositions, different
mechanisms minimalists are perceived, as the case of the lingering
delays, or the hall reverberations in considerable passages that
interconnect sound treatments.
